Gift Ideas 2011

It's that time of the year, the time to put up decorations, spend time with family, and shop for everyone on your list. Yesterday when I woke up to snow flurries falling outside, it felt official to me, it's beginning to feel and look a lot like Christmas! Our house has been decorated for a couple of weeks now and all of my shopping is near complete, but I have a lot of wrapping to do and not much time to do it! Even though this time of the year is so so busy and hectic at times, I adore Christmas and this year happens to be really special to me. If you still have a shopping list so long it makes your eyes cross, maybe I can help you out with some gift ideas (hopefully there's at least one to suit someone on your list)!...

For Her...

Either one of these stunning necklaces is sure to make any girl on your list one happy lady!

Last year I gave my husband a really nice bottle of whiskey along with these Whiskey Rocks and he really enjoys them because they don't dilute his drink.

Great for the iPad lover

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is about one week away, can you believe it?! November is flying by! I will be busy next week making all sorts of stuff for for our annual get together with Matt's family. I am planning on making my usual contribution, homemade cranberry sauce, along with an assortment of sweet treats. I am excited to see everyone, but I'm sure that I will be busy preparing up until the last minute. Here are some pretty Thanksgiving products and images I've found to help get you in the spirit (if you aren't already)...

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you and your family have a safe and happy holiday!

Bundling Up

With the temperature consistently dropping outside, it's definitely time to pull out the outerwear. I happen to love coats and jackets. I have a bunch of jackets and coats to mix things up because I wear them all late fall and winter long. It gets cold enough in many parts of the country that the only part of your outfit that is ever seen all winter long is your outerwear, so why not make it really cute?! Today I am going to focus mainly on coats, but that's likely because it's really cold and rainy outside right now.

Gorgeous classic wool camel trench

I adore this bright red belted coat

If you love leopard print, here's the perfect coat for you.

Pretty purple peacoat.

Military inspired cape

Cute cobalt blue coat

Another classic trench coat

Classic Burberry quilted jacket

Fun kelly green coat

Alexa Chung for Madewell navy plaid coat

Not a jacket or a coat, but I love this pretty faux fur vest.

Boot Loot 2011

It's that time of the year again, the time so many girls get very excited for...it's time for boots! I love boots and even though it's the end of October, the temperatures have been fluctuating a lot here so I have been switching up my daily style of shoe choice based on whether it's 80 or 50-something degrees outside. I have already worn a few pairs of boots this fall and based on the upcoming forecast, it looks like soon I will be able to wear my boots whenever I would like. Here are some boots that have caught my eye this season...

Yes, please. And now let's look at the gorgeous backs, shall we...
So so pretty.

Love these cute booties.

Here is the taller version of the one above. I adore these. The color and the buckles. Yes and yes.

Sexy high heeled booties. Fun for a night out.

Mid-calf boots. Loving the contrast of the leather and suede.

Classics. And they'll last too.

I first spotted these in the store months ago and I look at them every time I'm in there. I like.

Super cute camel booties.

These look comfortable. And I like the gray option too.

How fun are these pink Hunter's?! I have them in brown and they're my go-to for rainy or snowy days, plus they are really comfortable.

Or these bright pink Sperry's are just as fun. When it's gloomy outside and you're not feeling it, these could be the perfect remedy.
